a thankful heart
1 Make a 4”x5.5” card from kraft cardstock, with
the opening on the bottom.
2 Trim a 3.5”x5.5” piece of ivory cardstock and
splatter with green and brown spray mists.
3 Trim a .625”x5.5” strip of basket weave pat-
terned paper and mat with ivory piece as
shown. Zig-zag stitch across the seam.
4 Trim a .125”x5.5” piece of brown paper, a
.25”x5.5” piece of green paper and a .625”x5.5”
piece of basket weave patterned paper. Use
these three pieces to mat the right edge of
the ivory piece as shown. Adhere assembly to
card front.
5 Die cut a 2.5” square sentiment panel from
brown cardstock and a 3”x3” heart from
orange patterned paper. Trim off the right edge
of the heart and adhere both pieces to the
card as shown.
6 Adhere a yellow button, tied off with ivory
jute, to the bottom right corner of the card.

1 Make a 4.25”x5.5” card base from black card-
stock, with the opening on the bottom.
2 Trim a 4”x5.25” piece of wood grain patterned
paper and adhere to center of card.
3 Trim a 3”x5.25” piece of orange patterned paper
and notch the bottom as shown. Adhere to
center of card, flush with top edge.
4 Trim a 4”x.5” strip of green paper and adhere
horizontally, approximately .5” from the bot-
tom edge of the card. Accent with a small
piece of washi tape.
5 Die cut “EEK” from black cardstock and adhere
above green strip.
6 Die cut spider web from black cardstock. Em-
bellish ends of web with green baker’s twine
as shown. Adhere spider web piece to card
using black and white washi tape.
7 Die cut a spider from black cardstock and
adhere to the center of a canvas tag. Cut two
lengths of jute string. Use one to tie a bow
through the tag and the other to string the
tag to the card. Hide loose ends of the jute
behind the spider web.
