The Colour Suite - July Gallery

image

Welcome to the July Colour Suite!

I am super excited about what I have chosen for you this month. I began this month’s colour selection with one of my go to favorites to work with: blue. I find blue to be one of the easiest colours to use. I began by chosing 2 shades of blue then I added a butter yellow, red and a kraft brown. I know these colours feel nautical or patriotic but I promise you the possibilities are endless.

Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Pattered Paper Studio Calico/Crate Paper, Washi Tape My Minds Eye, Decorative Brads My Minds Eye/Crate , Wood Embellishment Studio Calico, Resin Flower Jillibean Soup, Label Sticker Jenni Bowlin, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, We R Memory Keepers Corner Rounder, Fiskars Border Punch, Silhouette Cutting System & Image, Twine, and Fonts Veteran Typewriter/journaling and Old Sans Black/Title

This month I invited my fellow Scrapbook & Cards Today design team member Christa Paustenbaugh to join me and take the Colour Suite challenge. I hope you love what Christa has done as much as I do. She told me she loved this colour combination and fought against her initial military family instincts to go patriotic. I too took a unique approach with my layout and scrapbooked a story about my sons second year of high school. I think Christa and I both have proved that while these colours may look traditional you could really do just about anything thing with them.

Thanks for joining me today & happy crafting ~ Summer
