Welcome to the January 2012 Color Suite. I am frantically prepping for CHA and the spring issue of SCT so we asked the fabulously talented Marla Kress to step in this month and fill my shoes. After following my color suite for the past 6 months I was super excited to turn my vision over to another designer. I was thrilled to have Marla take reigns this month because not every scrapbooker see's the same thing from a inspiration challenge such as this.
This month I took our suite in a "cooler" direction with deep blue and
greys. Marla really embraced this in her layout, her use of greys and blues were the first thing that jumped out at me when I saw her layout. I simply loved her bold graphic layout design really works with the cool modern feel of January's Color suite. If you are feeling left out in the cold this month try shifting the balance of color for this suite. Focus your layout on the green and butter yellow while using the greys and blues for a title or embellishments. Don't forget the color suite is a guide if you are not feeling a color I have selected try leaving it out of your layout, there is no right or wrong way to scrapbook.
