Sheri Reguly

Sheri resides in Ontario, Canada with her husband Bill, and their two children, Justin and Shailyn.

She's always had a love for photography, and received her very first camera at just six years of age. She's been snapping away ever since.
Looking back, she believes that she was destined to become a scrapbooker, as she's never been able to resist pretty papers, a cute stationary set, or a colorful pack of stickers.

She started scrapbooking, as we know it today, in 2001, shortly after the birth of her son.  Her favorite thing about this hobby is that it allows her to preserve her family's memories in both photos and words, while providing the creative outlet that she's always craved. She also finds it to be the perfect way to relax and unwind at the end of the day, while enjoying a little bit of  precious "me time."

Sheri has had her work published in all of the major publications, and currently designs for Hero Arts and Scrapbook & Cards Today.

We asked Sheri to share a little bit about herself and here is what she had to say...

How would you describe your scrapbooking style?

I would describe my scrapbooking style as being fun and lighthearted, clean and streamlined, with a few carefully chosen embellishments mixed in. I'm also all about the tiny little details, and the extra special touch that they add to my designs.

What 3 scrapbooking supplies can you not live without?

Patterned papers would definitely have to be at the top of my list.  I love how even the tiniest amount can have such a huge impact on my designs. I have to admit, that I may actually even have a slight addiction to the stuff. Although I  have thousands of sheets on hand, just waiting to be used, I simply can not resist a new design when it calls my name.

I'm also a huge fan of border punches and colorful buttons. They always seem to add that perfect finishing touch.

What is your current favorite color combination?

I'm a huge fan of white and kraft colored cardstock, with just about any color, or combination of colors, mixed in afterwards. These days I tend to be a bit more partial to soft blues and shades of turquoise.

My scrapbooking palette is very similar to that of my fashion and home decorating style. I love having a neutral backdrop, where I can mix in bold colors, patterns and designs by means of papers and embellishments,  fashion accessories, or colorful drapes, throw pillows and artwork.

While the one side of my closet consists of neutral essentials, the other side consists of colorful handbags, scarves, fashion jewelry and trendy footwear.

I also love having a beige sofa and beige walls in our living room. I can easily change the entire feel of the space by simply mixing up the decorative accessories. While my husband thinks my obsession with constantly changing  the throw cushions is slightly out of hand, when I bring up the alternative of painting the walls instead, he quickly relates to my  sensible way of thinking. :)

What is your guilty pleasure?

That would definitely have to be chocolate. I'm really not that fussy tough...any size, shape, or color will do.

What do you do when you're not scrapbooking?

Both of my children have very busy social schedules and are involved in many recreational activities. During the winter months, you'll find me shivering at the hockey rink 6-7 days a week with my  "Timmy's" coffee in hand. The spring and summer months consist of soccer games, and evenings spent out at the ball diamond. When I'm not being their chauffeur or cheerleader, I love to decorate our home, spend time with family & friends or indulge in a lazy day consisting of Pinterest, flipping through magazines, and staying in my PJ's all day long.
