Multi-Purpose Paper

Allison Cope is back again with us today inspiring us some more autumn inspired creations.

Here's Allison with her project:

One of my biggest challenges as a scrapbooker is my love of patterned paper. You ask, "How can that be a challenge?". Well.... sometimes you come across some fun papers that you love but you just can't for the life of you find any photos that fit the theme of those papers. No problem!! Who ever said that you needed to make Christmas themed layouts with Christmas themed papers any way? No one!

I just loved the beautiful Hallowe'en line "Superstitious" by Dream Street but couldn't bring myself to create another Hallowe'en layout with photos I had already used on a previous layout. So I grabbed some October dated photos and make a layout with my papers without a Hallowe'en theme....

Mom, Are We There Yet?

supplies: patterned papers, chipboard shapes, Dream Street; edge punches, Martha Stewart, Fiskars; transparency, Fancy Pants; other, thread.

This line contained a lot of fun patterned papers that did not include specifically themed images; such as ghosts or haunted houses or jack o'lanterns so it made created my non-Hallowe'en layout a breeze. I kept all the fun die cut images and the more thematic pieces for some fun cards and Hallowe'en treat bag toppers.

I hope you too, will take another look at all of your own thematic papers in your stash. You never know what kind of gems you have awaiting that perfect layout or card!
