In honour of your family history, a great subject
to scrapbook is your name. It could be your first,
middle or last name, or perhaps a nickname that
someone fondly calls you. If you think about
it, you will no doubt discover that there is an
anecdote or epic tale to be shared!
When Summer went searching for the story
behind her first name, her parents shared a
delightful account about how they came to
choose it. She relayed the details in thoughtful,
humourous journaling and created a wonderful
All About My Name page for her album.
Now, it’s your turn! Start thinking about your
favourite things and jot down a few lists as
thoughts occur to you. And as for your name,
if you don’t know the story behind it, pursue
it! Your parents or other family members will no
doubt love to share it with you.
Using her Silhouette software, Summer created a
custom title block by designing a cutting file from a
scan of her blog signature.
what’s in a name?
I loved creating this page because it gave
me a chance to learn something about myself
from my parents’ point of view. It was a story
that I wanted to be sure to capture in my
journaling. ~ Summer
