the 3 i’s
After perusing all of the beautiful layouts
in the Summer Reader’s Gallery, it was difficult
to choose just one
!
I was drawn to the unique
design elements of Patricia Roebuck’s layout and
knew I wanted to scraplift them.
I really loved the layered flowers that
Patricia created on her page. I replaced
them with pie-shaped circles that I
machine-sewed along the seams.
The scattered subtitles throughout
Patricia’s layout really caught my eye.
To save time, I added pre-printed
sentiments to mine.
I replicated the piece of tightly-woven
chevron stripes across the top of Patricia’s
page with a larger, more bold chevron
stripe. This piece determined the colour
palette for the rest of my page.

With such a colourful layout, Nicole chose to
convert her photos to black and white. They
really stand out!
