For my
easy
layout, I kept the design very basic. I started with a kraft cardstock foundation and added
two blocks of patterned paper matted onto white cardstock. I then applied long strips of washi tape
across the top, a row of punched circles and a few staples and pearls for accents. Rather than mat-
ting my photos onto white cardstock, I trimmed them 1/8” past the edge of the photo. I used foam
adhesive on my journal spot to add some dimension to the page and a couple of small word stickers
to reinforce the apple-picking theme.
There are days when I’d like to scrapbook but don’t have much time to do so. Other days, I have the
time needed to apply advanced techniques and add extra details to my projects. I hope to show you
how adding just a few extras to a page can really make a difference in visual appeal. No matter what
your style is, just a tweak here and there will let your personality shine through in your art.
