Using a scoring board, Sheri created her own
rosette from a strip of vintage patterned paper,
topping it off with a charming die cut stocking.
Grid designs, like the one on this
sketch, offer the cardmaker
endless possibilities when choosing
patterned paper. Sheri selected
four coordinating patterns and, by
mixing up the scale of each one,
blended them harmoniously
without one overwhelming another.
Adorning cards with decorative pins
looks beautiful, but hiding the
sharp point is a good idea to avoid
mishaps when the recipient opens
the card. Use foam adhesive, as
Sheri did here, to attach an
embellishment, then insert the pin
into the foam to secure and
protect the sharp point.
