We have many exciting challenges just for you. In order for you to prepare, we thought we would share them with you.
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrow, Something Cool!
Get your sketch on and you could win a copy of Scrapbook PageMaps 2! To enter, create a layout based on the sketch shown here and submit your entry to the registration table by Saturday at 4pm. The theme of the contest is “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Cool” and your entry should feature a product or technique from each of those four categories. So dig up something old from your stash, get something new at the show, borrow a sticker from a friend, and add in something you think is cool! Oh and something else cool? The layout winner will win an autographed copy of Scrapbook PageMaps 2!
The Colour Suite!
Join our latest colour inspiration challenge “The Colour Suite”! Appearing on the 15th day of each month on the Scrapbook & Cards Today website (www.scrapbookandcards.com), you will find design team member Summer Fullerton’s colour inspiration! “It’s no secret that I love colour. My dining room is painted a sunny yellow, my favourite chair is a gorgeous shade of teal and yes folks, I carry an orange purse! So it seems only natural that I am hosting the newest monthly challenge at SCT!” Here is Summer’s September colour inspiration.

For the love of letters, fonts and alphas!
Do you have random alphas? A favourite font? A letter you love? We want to see a layout all about alphas, fonts and/or letters! Use up your stash of alphas, break out your new favourite Thickers and create a masterpiece that shows us a little about U! LOL!
Use those alphas to create a layout and submit your entry to the registration table by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. for a chance to win our favourite stash of Thickers by American Crafts!
Everyday Moments Journaling Challenge!
In Part 3 of our series “From the Heart” in the fall issue, Becky Fleck provided Everyday Moments page starters to help you journal your authentic life. “Everyday moments are fleeting, but recording them in your albums will show your family one very important thing: you lived”. Our challenge to you is to take one of the following page starters and create a layout about YOUR everyday life.
- List your favourite books
- Describe your daily life a.m. to p.m.
- What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done?
- Scrap your favourite playlist
- Guilty pleasures: what’s yours?
These topics have a place in your album and we encourage you to scrap them! Submit your entry to the registration table by 4:00 on Saturday for your chance to win a pretty darn fabulous prize!
Card Challenge: 3-2-1 Giving Thanks!
‘Tis the season to give thanks and we want you to choose a special friend to say “thanks” to! Create a beautiful thank you card using three different pieces of patterned paper, two buttons, and one heartfelt sentiment! Score a bonus prize when you journal the inside too! So think about who in your life needs a lift and make them the perfect card with this challenge. Submit your card to the registration table by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday for the chance to win a brand new item not yet seen in Canada! It’s good...really good!

- Each entry must include the name of the challenge.
- Each entry can only be used for one challenge.
- Each entry must be picked up between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1st or we'll keep them...just kidding!
