Crop & Create - Angela Urbano

Image

Angela lives in Toronto with her 9 year old daughter, Maya and Ryan, her 4 year old son. Angela graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design and has been working in the Advertising & Marketing industry as a graphic designer for over 20 years.  Currently, she designs store environments and directs the graphic communications for Lowe’s Canada. The former owner of the scrapbooking boutique Urban Scrapyard designed for such brands as Club Monaco, Nike and BMW but dreams of spending her spare time scrapbooking with brands such as American Crafts, Basic Grey and October Afternoon.

Angela views scrapbooking as a form of storytelling. It is a creative outlet which encompasses many forms of media to the study of typography. Scrapbooking to her is the intimate, raw details of the life she leads, the reminder to live life to the fullest but most of all, capture the journey.

Angela was a Design Team member and product designer for QuicKutz. She has had her work published in Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine, Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, Paper Crafts , the book co-authored by Kimber McGray, “Remember This”  as well as some web-based scrapbooking publications. Her current adventure, "a new revolutionary way of looking at how we scrapbook" is in partnership with Emily Block of Stamping Bella due to launch January 2012.
