Clear Acrylic Stamping

Kim Hughes is here share a beautiful stamping technique with us. Using a clear acrylic stamp, Kim will show us how to soften the finished look by using different coloured inks.

Here is Kim with her tutorial:

I'd like to show you how to soften a stamped image when using clear stamps. Using different inks will give you different looks. I have found that you can soften an image by combining 2 different types of ink.

supplies: cardstock, Core'dinations; patterned paper, Making Memories; stamps, Papertrey Ink; ink, Stampin' Up!, Tsukineko; crystals, Zva Creative; ribbon, Beaux Regards, button, Autumn Leaves; adhesive, Therm O Web

First, apply a dye-based ink to the image (clean after stamping).

Second, tap a chalk ink lightly around the edges of the image; on top of the already inked stamp.

Then press onto your paper.

This adds beautiful texture to your image, while softening the edges.

I only use this technique with inks that are very close in colour.
