Here are the instructions for the two beautiful fall cards shown on page 51.

For You

instructions:

  1. Make an 8.5x4 card from rust cardstock.
  2. Cut an 8.25x3.75 piece of cream patterned paper; adhere to card front.
  3. Using a QuicKutz 12” scalloped border (or other scalloped edge tool) die-cut two 8.25” scalloped strips; one from yellow patterned paper and one from blue; overlap and adhere to left edge of card front.
  4. Using a QuicKutz 12” vine border (or other vine die-cut), die-cut a 7” vine from rust cardstock; adhere slightly right of center on card front.
  5. Punch three large flowers from various patterned papers; punch three small flowers from black patterned paper; position black flowers in center of large flowers and adhere all to card front as shown; add rhinestones to flower centers. Note: pop one flower up with a pop dot for dimension and interest.
  6. Die-cut “for you” sentiment from black patterned paper and adhere to a piece of rust cardstock; mat with striped patterned paper and adhere to bottom right of card front using pop dots.
My Wise Friend

instructions: 

  1. Make a 5.5x5.5 card from black cardstock.
  2. Cut a 5.25x5.25 mat from yellow patterned paper; adhere to card front.
  3. Cut a 5x2.75 piece of black patterned paper; cut a 4.75x2.5 piece of striped, scalloped patterned paper (keeping two scalloped outside edges as shown); adhere striped paper to black paper and adhere to left edge of card front.
  4. Hand-cut branch and finials from yellow patterned paper; adhere to card front as shown.
  5. Stamp owl with Staz-on ink on cream cardstock; colour him in with a combination of gel pens and watercolour pencils; cut him out and adhere “perched” on branch with pop dots.
  6. Stamp sentiment on cream cardstock with black ink; mat with black paper and adhere to bottom right of card front with pop dots.
  7. Add rhinestones to the finials at the end of the branches for interest.
