While surfing through Esty I fell in love with these cute fabric appliques. They would be so cute on the front of T-shirt or sewn onto a tote bag.

Hand Cut Big Fabric Hearts Embellishment Set - Valentine
By TrinketsNH

I took this inspiration and created my own paper version for the front of a card. These would also be great used one a scrapbook page as an embellishment!

Using some scraps of paper that were on my desk leftover from other projects, I punched different sized hearts. Notice the scallop edged heart reminds me of the pinked edge hearts that were in my inspiration piece.

For a bit of texture, distress the edges of the papers with your finger nail or the edge of a scissor blade. You can also sand the cardstock a bit for some interest as well.

Instead of breaking out the sewing machine and stitching around the tiny punched hearts, I grabbed my white gel pen and 'faux stitched' around each of the hearts.

Using foam adhesive squares, I layered the hearts. In the inspiration it looks like foam or batting of some kind to make the fabric hearts puffy and dimensional.

Finally I lighting bent up the edges of the hearts and adhered them on the front of my card.
