Adding Colour to Layouts
We are glad to have Vicki Boutin back today to share her thoughts on colour.
"I am all about colour when it comes to clothes, home decor and even in my scrapbooks and paper crafts! The brighter the better!! Colour makes me happy and I like to make happy pages. Sassafras is a company that makes colourful, happy products with lots of pattern. That is something else I love, mixing patterns!! So here is a layout I did that marries two of my favourite things...color and pattern.
Take a look at the paper I chose to layer the embellishments and photos on. It is a busy pattern but it is void of colour. This is a perfect backdrop for the felt pieces, borders and title work. The paper provides interest with its whimsical pattern but it doesn't compete with the colourful bugs and letters. A punch of orange paint anchors and defines the main grouping of embellishments.
The warmer weather is just around the corner so pull out a bunch of colourful papers and embellishments and put together a page that puts you in a spring-y state of mind!"
