Catherine and Kerry met one blustery February day at their children’s Tae Kwon Do lesson. Catherine was just about to launch the first issue and Kerry was fascinated—she’ll never forget the day she offered to help! A fast friendship began and evolved into a successful business partnership that sees them together most days—drinking tea (double milk and half a sugar), sharing ideas over a working lunch (sushi Bento box), and collaborating to make Scrapbook & Cards Today the best publication that it can be (feed Kerry a couple of red twizzlers and she will jump through hoops for you).

The two women learned their individual “roles” early on in their working relationship; Kerry dots Catherine’s “i’s” and crosses her “t’s,” and Catherine reminds Kerry to breathe. Kerry makes lists and keeps things organized, and Catherine can keep eight conversations straight in her head at any given time. Kerry still thinks that “Excel” is a brand of chewing gum, and Catherine believes that adverbs are extremely overrated.

When the two of them are not nurturing their “baby,” they are spending time with their supportive husbands and their children.
